Adding our services to a party at a play area is always a great way to add something extra special to your day. We’ve attended some great parties over the years and picked up some basic tips to help you make the most out of everything you have booked for the day.
Speak to your play area. Communicate that you’d like to have an additional outside service. Some play areas have ways of working with outside business so it is always good to communicate this to us. Some venues also don’t allow certain services such as face painting so it’s always good to check this too.
Our aim is to make sure we are fully prepared and work in the best way we can with the venue.
We’d always advise sending the venue our details too in case they have any questions on how we can work the best alongside their services.
As the saying goes – timing is everything. Check the timings of what the play area has scheduled and then look at how our services can be incorporated.
If looking at a character visit then you can look to incorporate a visit whilst the children are eating food. This is a great time for them to have a closer interaction with the character and have more pictures.
Activities run by the play area
Many play areas run their own style of games and activities. Make sure you know what these are and how these can work alongside our services. For example if booking a classic character visit – they too will join in with all activities happening. Our character never host games as we believe this can bring them out of character and take the focus away from developing a relationship with your little one.
If looking at booking a character at a play area on their own, you could do activities such as;
- Character Sing a long
- Group Pictures and One on One Pictures
- Traditional Party Games including pass the parcel
- Play in the play area! (Characters are usually allowed on the first level of the play area but do check this with your venue beforehand – there might also be retractions depending on the character)
Party bags and decorations are all things we can help with – check your venue to see if this is something they allow or provide themselves on booking.
We hope these tips help and if you have any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask!
