Booking Update – COVID-19 – Updated 15th June (Currently Step 3)

We are currently taking bookings with the hope that restrictions will lift as planned on the 19th July 2021. Once all restrictions have been confirm to be lifted we will contact everyone who has ‘pencilled in’ a date and time to take deposits/full payments. At that point your booking will be confirmed unless of any restrictions imposed after this.

For any reservations taken before this prior to the announcement on Monday 14th June where the restrictions lifting was delayed; we are currently contacting everyone to look at alternative online arrangements. 

Please note: Should full restrictions be not lifted at the time of your booking then we will be unable to go ahead with your booking. This is not a decision that we have taken lightly and we have thoroughly researched the guidelines of our sector and have completed the correct risk assessments which all draw a similar conclusion. Our services create an environment in which COVID-19 can thrive indoor and outdoor.

Can you still do the booking outside? – I have a big garden!

Again it goes back to the service – For example, our music would have to be reduced to background music and no dancing or singing encouraged. Everything we pride ourselves on creating for your occasion is encouraged to be minimised to such that we wouldn’t be providing a service we could be proud of.

Can you adjust your service to suit?

To put it simply, no. Time, resources and lack of control over the organisation of the party means we can’t guarantee a fully risk assessed and controlled party. There are now many grey areas with an ‘event’/’celebration’ at the home due to the relaxation of restrictions for a private meet. Both are treated differently. For example, It is very different for you to put your speaker on very loud in your back garden with a few friends than bring in a third party business to run an ‘event’.

Can ‘I’ just accept full responsibility should anything go wrong?

No – we are seen as part organiser of the event and as such should consider all the risks including providing risk assessments. We wouldn’t be able control this in a home environment or venue without a substantial amount of work and team.

Though numbers may allow us to be there – the service that we offer restricts us as to what we can offer and it’s for this reason we would be unable to fulfil the booking even in outdoor circumstances. Though we understand this is frustrating we have followed the guidance from the start and we will continue to do so. 

Finally…if you’ve followed us over the years you will know that we are desperate to return to our services! We won’t be returning to services prematurely however, and will return confident, that we are able to provide a safe and fun party for all involved. Through It’s incredibly frustrating to see other sectors reopen whilst we remain close under restrictions, (and even other businesses in our sector reopen) we are confident we have made the right decision. We are being patient and completely understand the risks associated with our business. We hope you do too.

The Booking Call

We take all bookings over the phone. This is to ensure that all your details correct and we have read through our terms and conditions of booking with you. Though we understand that booking online can sometimes seem easier, a call makes sure that we avoid any mistakes or oversights.

During your call, our admin team will go through your full quotation and thorough details for your party.


Payment is made over the phone via a secure merchant account. We take your card details via Worldpay and an authorisation code is given for every payment for your piece of mind.

Opting In

Within 24 hours of booking, we will send you a confirmation email as well as an opt-in email. The latter is to confirm that you are happy to receive future emails from us. With new GDPR guidelines in place, it is important for us to have your permission. It is also important for you to know how your data is being stored.

Booking Confirmation

Your booking confirmation email will have all the basic details of your booking included. It will also include links to the services you have ordered and payment confirmation and merchant provider authorisation code.

Your Courtesy Call

Around 7 days before your booking, our team will give you a call to run through the final details of your booking. This is also the point we will look to take your final payment. We do not take payment on the day of your party as there is always lots of other things to be focusing on and it avoids forgetting on the day!

On The Day

On the day of the booking you will receive a phone call as your character arrives at your chosen venue.

If you have booked a DJ or Face Painter, they will arrive before the party starts in order to set up and be ready to begin in time for your booking.

Should any of the team be running behind or delayed, they will call you to keep you updated.
