FAQS

Here are some of our FAQs – please let us know if you have any more!

Is there a maximum amount of children you cater to?

This depends on your party package or service. Our traditional parties have no minimum or maximum numbers but our themed and tailored parties do. This is so we can make sure you get the best out of your themed party. You can add extra guests at an additional cost. Please feel free to ask and clarify during your booking or enquiry process.

Do you work with other businesses?

For a breakdown on how we work with other businesses please check out our blog here.

When should I book?

We always recommend booking 3+ months prior to the date of the event. Although we can be fully booked up well in advance of this, we always advise you to check with our team as availability can occur even days before the event.

Are you DBS Checked? (formally CRB)

The Disclosure Barring Service formally came into being in December 2012 following the merger of the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA). All our associates working in various roles within our business are self employed. All individuals who work with The CopyCat Party Company understand and are willing to partake in any requested DBS checks. Please note this is a standard charge which will be added to your total payment.

Please note before going ahead with a DBS request the eligibility of the job role itself. A DBS will not be needed in most cases due to the nature of the booking. The CopyCat Party Company are happy to discuss this.

What happens on a regular character visit?

We have complied a blog to give you a better insight of what to expect from your visit here.

What characters do you do?

You can find a full list of our characters here.

Do you travel outside the Barnsley area?

We can travel anywhere subject to fuel and travel expenses.

When is the best time to book my party?

We always advise booking your party as soon as you have made the decision to have one. We take deposits for parties 12 months in advance which is great if you wish to spread the cost of your party!

How do I book?

Please call us on 0800 023 5903 to go through a booking form which includes terms and conditions along with a deposit, partial or full payment to secure your booking. Take a look at ‘Our Booking Process‘ for more information regarding this.

What deposit do you require for a booking?

We ask for £10 per service for a non refundable initial payment amount. This is subject to change. For party packages this is £50.

Do you have a full price list?

We do offer starting prices where possible on our website. However, we cannot supply a full price list online due to the vast amount of packages we offer and the tailored options and extras available. Therefore, we offer a no obligation quote based on your package interest, length of party and location – all factors which are included in an accurate quote. You can acquire this by contacting us.

What prizes do you give out at parties?

Small party favours currently include bubbles, stickers and other fun extras. We are aiming to move away from plastic as much as we can so this may change in the future.
We do not currently offer sweets due to potential allergies. However, should you wish to supply these for your party we can hand these out on your behalf.

Do I need to check out allergies with my guests?

Yes. Even if you are not booking face painting or our glitter and hair bar, we still recommend it. A child may be allergic to a rubber bouncy ball we offer as a prize, for example. If we know about this in advance, we can actively avoid bringing things to the party that may cause worry. You will be asked when booking with us regarding any allergies that you are aware of as part of our terms and conditions and insurance risk assessment.

We hope our FAQs answers any questions you have but if you have anything you’d like to ask please feel free to contact us!
